ROCK PAPER SCISSORS is an education, learning and engagement programme for primary school children and families in Elephant & Castle. Special thank you to all children and their adults who came to the workshops to share their creativity and ideas. Also to – curators Misty Eden & Sheyamali Sudesh, artists Solomon Williams & Esme Wedderburn from The Drawing Room for all their support to develop this project as part of their wider learning programme.

ROCK PAPER SCISSORS. The making took place in the gallery by the artworks. Transforming the institution’s library offered a second more tranquil space for quiet (or loud) exploration with a gentle colour-changing projection layered with drawings, where children and their adults responded to each other’s sounds through free rhythm and movement. People who took part fed back that this offered a supportive space for relaxed moments of solitary or collective creativity to take place.
